I’m an artist working out of my studio in Auckland, New Zealand to create oil paintings and other artworks. I am influenced by realist, impressionist and post-impressionist painters. I mix approaches to painting, but typically work directly (finishing paintings in a single layer i.e. ‘alla prima’).

I use only artist-grade, archival quality materials. My favourite art brands are Old Holland and Gamblin. I paint from life whenever possible — I don’t find photographs to be particularly helpful when painting.
